Could not connect to the selected system. Check log for details.

Hi,

 

I'm having a problem at the last step for creating and consuming my data model in SEGW, I get this error when I try to register my service, "Could not connect to the selected system. Check log for details.".

 

I've tried looking at the following, but still confused why my setup is not working.

 

A) http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41416

B) http://scn.sap.com/message/14185862

 

We have separate ECC and NW systems. ECC has IW_BEP and NW has GW_CORE and IW_FND. I've created an alias to ECC in NW, as specified in document A) and step 2). However for step 3), is this done in the backend or netweaver gateway system or both?

 

In the NW system my step 3) looks like this

 

Destination SystemECC
Client 800
System AliasCST
RFC DestinationRFC_NAME

 

 

In the ECC system my step 3) looks like this

 

Destination SystemGW_HUB
Client 800
System AliasNSP
RFC DestinationRFC_NAME

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Issue while posting XML to BAPI_LEAD_CREATE

I am stuck while trying to HTTP post an XML to Gateway Service which calls the  BAPI_LEAD_CREATE in SAP CRM. The request is posted from the REST CLIENT In Firefox and i get an non descriptive HTTP 400 error in response

I am unable to figure what the issue is, because i have used the Standard atom Envelope for the Request Body and have ensured the required data elements are present in the XML string

I have ~CHECK_CSRF_TOKEN Parameter is set to 0 in GUI Configuration

but I still get this exception.

Gateway OData Generator Tool

Hi All,

 

I am using the OData generator tool to create a simple query operation. However I keep on getting the below error when I try to consume in my web browser. Anyone seen this before?

 

Data Provider implementation 'Z_TIMESHEET_0001_PS' '01' '' does not exist

 

  • Z_TIMESHEET_0001_PS is the name of my gateway data model.

Gateway Costing and license issues

Hi

 

I'm sure this has been mentioned / blogged before, but i've tried searching and can't find the document anywhere.

 

I'm sure there was a change in SAP Gateway license last year to that any existing user licences were covered by the deployment of gateway

 

So for example if i wanted to download gateway install it on one of our test systems this would be free ?

 

So long as any users already had SAP licences ? 

 

I'd quite like to have a go at setting up the following application.

But i'm not sure of the costs of downloading and installing gateway at the moment

Service Consumption in SAP Gateway

Hello Experts,

                         We have web application developed in ASP and C# , we have consume web service in SAP to send data to web application database whenever notifications are created in SAP using classic method of webservice consumption in ABAP.

 

But We want to achieve this using oData and gateway

We want to achieve push notification from Gateway to web application , it should directly make entry in web app database like it is achieve in above method.

Missing the folder "Associations sets" etc.

I have just created an associations between my POheader and my POitem, and now I want to "create an association set for the association", but my folder "Association sets" are not shown in my structure (in the left side).

 

Does I miss to activate anything, or?

I have an RFC which has a Table and  a structure as an importing parameter  and i want to use this RFC in my service.

Will Gateway support this? if no what has to be the way to send table data ? Kindly guide me how it can be achieved.

Connecting MS Sharepoint to SAP Gateway using the oData protocol and basic authentication

Hi,

 

I am trying to consume an oData service from sharepoint using SAP gateway.

 

Using Tutorials like http://blogs.perficient.com/microsoft/2012/09/consuming-odata-sources-in-sharepoint-2013-app-step-by-step/, I tried to consume an OData Source with SharePoint 2013. Without Authentication, no problem, but with an OData Source with Basic Authentication I’m searching a way to define/configure the authentication method inside the app.

The only way I could find was in the BDC Model (.etc file), where I find the ODataServiceAuthenticationMode.

Regarding the std specs of BCS, I could use the value “Credentials” instead of “PassThrough” to use a basic authentication. Then I could define the ssoapplicationid of the Target Application inside the Secure Store Service. I ripped it from the wcf syntax, but as foreseen it didn’t work.

Does anyone has a guide or documentation for the actual bdcm syntax/structure in SharePoint 2013 for modifying the xml? Or are there other options to define the basic authentication in this OData App? Is there a way to make life more simple by a different service configuration on SAP side?

 

Passing the credentials as http headers from postman (chrome extension) works out fine, but still I have no clue what to define in Sharepoint.

 

Does anybody of you have a solution or any hints on how to proceed here?

I found this topic but i couldn't connect to the Demo System. As i understand it is not working anymore. Maybe there is another Demo System existing. If you know such I would appreciate if you can share it with me.

Redefine or?

Hi
I have created my service, and it was working fine - and did call a function in backend.

 

We did find a small mistake in our FM in backend, so we did change the structures in the TABLES parameters of the FM.

It was changed from

ET_PO_HEADER STRUCTURE  EKPO

to

ET_PO_HEADER STRUCTURE  EKAB

 

Now I got a syntax error in my gateway service "Class ZCL_ZGW_PURCHASE_OR_01_DPC was generated with syntax error".

 

The mehod looks like this:

method PURCHASEORDERSHE_GET_ENTITYSET.
*-------------------------------------------------------------
*  Data declaration
*-------------------------------------------------------------
  DATA et_po_header  TYPE zif_zmm_get_po_from_contract1=>__ekab.

....

and the syntax error is: Type "__EKAB" is unknown

 

I guess the reason for the error is, that I did change the structure.


How do I update my class?

Earlier (in another project) I did try to: right-click on data model, and then Redefine - Odata.
But then I lost all, and I don't want that again.

Unstable services - Resource not found for the segment

Hi all,

I have 2 unstable services. Sometimes they work sometimes they fail with the "Resource not found for the segment" error. I'm on SP06 and have the gateway installed on a separate hub installation.

 

The situation this:

1. in /iwfnd/maint_service the 2 services with the problem originate from 2 different backend systems but they share the same name in the "Service Description" column.

2. if I execute the standard service calls like ....../Y_ABSENCE_SRV/?$format=xml they always work regardless of previous calls.

3. if I execute a call to a collection like ..../Y_ABSENCE_SRV/QuataOverviewItems it works the first time but...

4. if I afterwards execute a call to the other service then the service calls in the first service fails with the mentioned error

 

Has anyone experienced this and could it have anything to do with the Service Description column being the same? Any SAP note to resolve this?

500 Internal Server Error while executing Gateway Service

I have created a project in SEGW for RFC.  When i execute this service it gives status as "500 Internal Server Error" .

Exception occurs when the following method is executed : /IWFND/IF_SODATA_MAPPER~GET_ENTITY_PROV_BY_FEED_DATA.

Also I noticed that if the queried table has some output data only then this Internal Server error occurs whereas the status is "200 OK" when there is no output data.

 

Please help me to solve this issue.
